Announcements:
All Church Picnic: This Sunday is the all Church picnic. There will be a dunk tank on Sunday. I will be in there along with most of the staff. However, if any sponsors or youth would like to be in the dunk tank we would welcome the relief :-) Let me know…
Leaders: The youth ministry is in search of an adult leadership team for the coming year. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply! If you think you would like to work with our students, or simply want more information, please call or email Sam Hastings, Director of Youth Ministry (samhastings@fcfumc.net).
Lost And Found: If you think you may have lost something during the mission trip, check out the lost and found album on our facebook page. If you don’t have facebook, feel free to give Sam a call or shoot an email describing your missing item.
This week in {fumc} youth:
UMYF: We are now meeting at our regular scheduled time on Sunday nights (6:00-8:00 pm). UMYF is open to all students between 7th and 12th grade. Join us this week for "Create Our Future" night. This will be a time to brainstorm and dream about our year together! For more information, please contact Sam Hastings.
Sunday School: The youth group is now meeting at our new regular time (9:00-10:30 am). Please join us in the coming weeks for an ongoing discussion about Christian community. Our lessons will be based on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book, Life Together. This week we will be talking about "The Day With Others." Come on down!
Opportunities to Volunteer:
- Senior Council has come to us with a request for service. I will need at least 2-3 student volunteers to help me clean up fallen apples from a front yard next Saturday. Respond to this email to let me know if you will be able to help out!
- Youth Council will have a tentative meeting Wednesday night from 6:30 - 7:30. This will simply be an initial meeting to discuss the future of Youth Council. All parents are welcome. We will meet in the Middle School room.
- Youth Leadership Team (YLT) will have a meeting this Sunday, August 28th from 4:30 - 6:00. Dinner will be provided. This will simply be an initial meeting to discuss the future of YLT. We will meet in the Middle School room.
