All the CSU students are returning and the beginning of the school year is right around the corner. I can’t think of a better time to have one last great night of summer…check it out!

This week in {fumc} youth:
UMYF: The regular UMYF schedule (6:00-8:00) will resume Sunday August 21st. However, this first week will be a special mystery kickoff event to welcome our incoming 7th & 8th grade students. If you have students in the 7th or 8th grade, this would be a great night for them to connect with the rest of the group. In addition to this, everyone is HIGHLY encouraged to bring their friends. You won’t want to miss this. We will meet in the fellowship hall at 6:00 sharp!
Sunday School: The youth group is now meeting at our new regular time (9:00-10:30 am). Please join us in the coming weeks for an ongoing discussion about Christian community. Our lessons will be based on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book, Life Together. Come on down!

Lost And Found: If you think you may have lost something during the mission trip, check out the lost and found album on our facebook page. If you don’t have facebook, feel free to give Sam a call or shoot an email describing your missing item.
Leaders: The youth ministry is in search of an adult leadership team for the coming year. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply! If you think you would like to work with our students, or simply want more information, please call or email Sam Hastings, Director of Youth Ministry (samhastings@fcfumc.net).
Opportunities to Volunteer:
- This week at UMYF we will need adults to help with our Mystery Kickoff Event. Please let me know if you would be willing to help chaperone.
- Youth Council will have a meeting in the coming weeks. Please let me know if this is something you would like to be involved in. More information coming soon.
- Youth Leadership Team (YLT) will have a meeting on Sunday August 28th from 4:30-6:00. Dinner will be provided.
