Dear Friends,

This week is Youth Sunday! If you signed up to help an email should be hitting your inbox within the next 24 hours to remind you! We need people there for all three services, but especially at 9:15 and 10:45. If you know you haven't signed up it's not too late. Keep an eye out for more information! Also, get pumped! Evan Mackes and Kelsey Belk have put together a great sermon and Adam Bell is helping us with a video we will show! It's going to be worth it!

Senior Small Group: Do you graduate this year? Is the prospect of the future exciting, but also a little nerve racking? Are there subjects you’ve just had a hard time discussing with your family? Do you want to continue to explore your faith once you’ve left high school? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this group might just be for you! You’re invited to join us May 9th from 8:00 - 9:00 pm to explore some possibilities for this group. Desert will be provided!

Once we decide on a regular time to get together, we will have 4 more gatherings with meals hosted by parents and church members. Please RSVP tosamhastings@fcfumc.net by Tuesday, May 8th. If you forget, show up anyway ;-)
P.S. If you haven’t come in a long time or have never met me, please know that I would still love to know you. Everyone is welcome in this group. I hope to see you there! - Sam
Team 4 Square Tournement: To give you a teaser of what spring has in store for our youth group, I want you all to know about our Team 4 Square Event on Friday May 11th! This will be our service project for the spring and it is going to be a BLAST! We will be joining FUMC in Colorado Springs to raise money for the Human Trafficking Alliance of Southern Colorado. How exactly will we raise this money you ask? Well, we are going to hold a Team 4 square tournement! The entry fee per a team of two is $20 (or $10 per/person). What if you don't like playing 4 Square? Well, you can also enter as a cheerleading team for the same price! There will be prizes for the winners of the tournement as well as for best costume/uniform, best cheerleading squad, etc. There will be food, and plenty of laughs! If you want to start practicing, click the link below to learn the rules! We will also be practicing in youth group the next several weeks!
Peace.

Club 56 Updated Update!

Hello Club56ers and families!

Sorry to break this to you, but it has come to our attention that the 2nd and 4th Sundays in May fall upon Mother's Day and Memorial Day Weekend. So we modified next month's schedule, here are the evening events:

April 22- Survival night at the church from 6pm to 8pm. We will learn important survival and emergency preparedness skills and play some fun themed games.

May 6- Family Game Night. The whole family is invited to the church from 6pm to 8pm for board games, card games, mingling, and other fun activities.

May 20- Club56 Banquet. There will be a costume theme, tons of food, and tons of fun as we say farewell to the 6th graders moving to the Youth Group. We will need a few parent volunteers to help with cooking.

This is the finalized schedule. Please let us know if you'd like to volunteer for any of our events!

Love and peace,
Mitchell and Christine

Dear Friends,

Spring is off to a great start! This last week during youth group we helped to put together over 500 art kits to give to those who are homeless or struggling with poverty. These kits bring so much joy to people, and we are now a part of that! This was such a success, we will definitely be working with them again in the future!

Speaking of service opportunites, mission trips are just around the corner! Applications were due last Sunday, but there are still sports available!

We will also begin our fundraising this week. Please read the bake sale announcement from Theresa and Sarah Kamphaus:

Hey you! Yes YOU! Are you going on any mission trips this summer? Is the price a little too high? Do you want to do something about it? If you answered yes to any of the previous questions then you need to bake? Bake? Did you just read that right? Yes, yes you did, don’t go get reading glasses. Why bake you ask? Because the youth bake sale is this Sunday!!!! And we need cookies! Pies! Cupcakes and any other baked goods you can think of!!!! So bake away chefs and earn money to shorten you financial path to mission trips this summer!!!!

Peace.
